The SIP Industrial F40-IDA 2.2kW 400v Floor Pillar Drill is a heavy-duty pillar drill specifically designed for professional metalwork and fabrication workshops.
Featuring a variable frequency drive inverter transmission, the drill delivers high torque output across a consistent 65rpm to 2000rpm spindle speed for powerful and precise drilling of up to max. ⌀ 40mm. An integrated auto-drilling function also increases workshop efficiency, particularly during repetitive tasks.
Engineered for demanding production environments, this adjustable and heavy-duty drill also features enhanced safety features to protect operators.
Applications & uses: Designed for professional metalwork and fabrication workshops. Ideal for drilling ferrous and non-ferrous metals including mild steel, aluminium, copper, brass, stainless steel, cast iron and wrought iron. - VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE INVERTER TRANSMISSION ENSURES ALL POWER IS TRANSFERRED FROM MOTOR TO SPINDLE FOR HIGH TORQUE DRILLING: Easy-to-operate infinitely variable dial on the headstock allows users full control of the 65rpm - 2000rpm drilling speed, meaning spindle speed can be set to suit the material. Inverter drive transmission eliminates manual pulley speed changes, allowing quicker job set-up and changeovers. This helps to reduce downtime and boosts productivity. Heavy-duty configuration with robust drill chuck and MT4 (Morse Taper 4) will withstand forces and vibration of professional drilling and maintain operator safety. Tapping functionality produces high-quality screw threads up to ⌀ 25mm, ensuring strong and reliable connection for fasteners that won't crossthread. Recirculating coolant system maintains optimal conditions by reducing heat generated in the workpiece and prevents the drill dulling or breaking. - HEAVY-DUTY COMPONENTS IDEAL FOR CONTINUOUS USE IN PRODUCTION & ASSEMBLY ENVIRONMENTS: Thick central column and heavy baseplate minimise vibration for maintaining stability and accuracy. The baseplate should be anchored to the floor. A large height-adjustable drill press table offers versatility when handling different thicknesses and heights. It rotates left to right for added clearance for longer workpieces. The base drill table also enables drilling of taller workpieces, assemblies and fabrications. The height-adjustable drill head also offers further flexibility and helps users reach optimal height. Chrome steel drill feed handle ensures operators can safely control the descent of the drill bit.
- INTEGRATED ENHANCED SAFETY FEATURES DESIGNED TO ACTIVELY PROTECT OPERATORS FOR SECURE WORKING ENVIRONMENT: For added safety, a protective chuck guard shields users from swarf and debris. It also disables the drill when opened. A low voltage (24v) control circuit minimises electric shock which limits harm to machine operators. An interlocking safety switch prevents the drill from running when headstock covers are opened.

Delivery Information
Mainland UK Delivery
We aim to dispatch all mainland UK orders for next working day delivery using a 24-hour courier service (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays). To qualify for same-day dispatch, your order must be paid for before 1pm.
Please note: While we use a 24-hour delivery service, this is not guaranteed and delays can occasionally occur due to courier circumstances beyond our control.
Extended Delivery Areas & Oversized Items
Deliveries to Northern Ireland, Scotland, Highlands, and Remote Islands are sent via a 48-hour delivery service.
Items that are over 30kg in weight or longer than 1.2 metres will also be shipped on a 2-working-day service due to handling requirements.
Some large or heavy items are not eligible for delivery outside mainland UK or to the Highlands. We will notify you at checkout if this applies to your order.

Download the RMA form. Complete the form and include it with your returned item. If you're unable to download or complete the form, our customer service team is here to help. Simply give us a call or send us an email, and we'll assist you in completing the form over the phone or provide an alternative method that suits your needs. -
Prepare Your Return:
Ensure the product is in its original packaging and in good condition. -
Return the Goods:
- Faulty or Incorrect Items: We'll arrange to collect the item from you at no additional cost.
- Change of Mind or Mistakenly Ordered: You are responsible for the return shipping costs.
- Receive Your Resolution: After we receive and inspect the item, we'll either repair, replace, or refund your purchase within 14 days using the same payment method you used for your purchase.
Types of Returns
1. Faulty or Incorrect Items
Under UK consumer law, you have the right to reject a faulty or incorrect item within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. If a fault develops within 6 months you are entitled to a repair or replacement. Should these remedies fail, you can then claim a refund.
All our factory refurbished stock is tested in the manufacturer's workshops and comes with a manufacturer-approved 6 months warranty, offering additional protection beyond your statutory rights. You may choose to contact the manufacturer directly for warranty services. However, these warranties do not replace your rights under UK consumer law, and you can still seek remedies through us as outlined above.
- Entitled to Repair or Replacement: Contact us using the general returns procedure to request a repair or replacement.
- If Repair or Replacement Fails: You may then request a refund through the same returns procedure.
2. Change of Mind or Mistakenly Ordered
If you've changed your mind or made a mistake with your order, you can return the item within 14 days of receiving it for a full refund. Follow the General Returns Procedure outlined above. You are responsible for covering the return shipping costs.
Condition of Returned Goods
To ensure a seamless return process, please return items in their original packaging to protect them during transit and maintain their resalable condition and ensure items are in good condition and free from damage beyond normal handling.
Diminished Value: You may be responsible for any loss in value if the item is not returned in a resalable condition.
Refunds
Refunds are issued using the same payment method you used for your original purchase and will be processed within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods or proof of shipment.
Please note: Shipping costs are not refundable unless the return is due to our error or a faulty product.
